10/025 Public Participation
The Chairman adjourned the meeting to allow electors present an opportunity to raise issues of concern or interest.
This marked the end of public participation and the Chair reconvened the meeting.

Councillor Ronnie Wilson declared an interest in item 10/030 as he is a tenant of the Parish Council.

An update was given on the financial position of the parish council and the council bank balances currently stand at just under £4,700.

Tenders for Parish Council land were accepted as follows:
Mungrisdale Garden Ground tender of £350.00 submitted by Messrs IR and OM Wilson
Liscow Ground tender of £100.00 submitted by Messrs Teasdale of Lowside Farm
Wellfoot Mr Richardson wishes to renew his tenancy
Berrier no renewal request has been received yet. Clerk to chase up.
10/031 Eycot Farm Caravan Update - locations for a possible agricultural dwelling are currently being researched as there is an area of SSSI near the farm buildings which needs to be taken into consideration when creating drainage for such a dwelling. An e-mail from Anthea Jones at the Lake District National Park Planning Department gives further information. The caravan owner has commissioned an architect to draw up plans for a dwelling although no application has yet been submitted.
10/032 M Sport Activities in Greystoke Forest
M Sport has requested permission from Eden District Council to schedule additional days of activity in the forest. The number of additional days has yet to be confirmed. A retrospective planning application has been submitted regarding the upgrade of the tracks.
10/033 Wild Ponies on the Fell Update
Lake District Ranger Graham Standring gave a full and comprehensive report about the wild ponies in his presentation to the Annual Parish Meeting.
10/034 Noticeboard Update
The noticeboard for Berrier is just awaiting its locks. Approval was given unanimously to commission a new noticeboard for Bowscale if the cost is the same as before. Planning permission for the Parish noticeboard will not be required but permission will have to be obtained from the landowner.
10/035 Highways Update
It was reported that it had not been possible to have a meeting with the officials from Highways and the following jobs were still out standing:-
1. Channels on Sykes Brow
2. Drains at top and corner at bottom of 'narrows'
3.Entrance road and lip of road at Bowscale
4.Make good by notice board at Mosedale
5. Major ditching towards Stone Ends.
There was discussion about signs 'No through road for heavy vehicles' for the gated road and Scales road and an enquiry will be made to the Highways Technician.
There has been a meeting with the Parish Land Maintenance group and they had drawn up a plan as guidance for John Bennett
The Highway Steward continues to be beneficial but more attendance time than has been allocated to Mungrisdale would prove
There was a discussion regarding the requirements for re-locating the noticeboard in Bowscale to the Highways waste on the opposite side of the road
10/036 Revised Salary Scales for Local Councils
Councillors unanimously agreed to honour a pay rise for the clerk in line with the National Association of Local Councils revised salary scales and promotion to the next grade in accordance with clerks contract.
