Minutes of the Parish Council at Mungrisdale Village Hall on Monday 4 September 2006 |

Chairman welcomed Councillors, visitors from the Environment Agency and members of the public. |

1. Apologies received from Michael Bohling, Robert Jackson and Councillor Bert Richardson. |
|
2. Minutes of previous meeting were amended under point 10 to amend the wording and the minutes were approved by unanimous agreement.- |

3. Public Participation - The chairman adjourned the meeting to allow members of the public an opportunity to ask questions and the following matters were discussed: · Richard Woodcock and Sarah Robinson from the Environment Agency provided an update on work undertaken on the Beck in the village coupled with the work on the Weir. Further work will need to be undertaken in the future as it would probably not be incorporated at this stage. · Point 9 of the Agenda was covered within Public Participation a. The Pen on the village green is an obstruction to the footpath and falls within the remit of the LDNP. b. The accumulation of Rubbish may be on land belonging to the owners of Hutton Roof Farm and we may be unable to take any action. We will contact the LDNP to see if they have any powers. c. Parish Council were asked to consider covering the costs of maintaining the green and the residents will provide further information d. The drain problems by the footpath will be taken care of by the LDNP later in 2006 · There will be a meeting on 16 October with the National Park in the village hall to discuss problems in Mosedale Valley |

8. Web site/Computers · We have an excellent web site which has all been undertaken on a voluntary basis. Hosting fees for the site are approximately £60 for 2 years and until now these have been paid by Alan Bird. It was agreed, unanimously, that the Parish Council should meet these costs in future. · We have applied for a computer for the Parish Council ~ free of charge. We have been successful in obtaining a laptop and a printer and our obligation is to cover the cost of replacement in the future. This was agreed unanimously and the documentation completed. |

9. Hutton Roof ~ letter from Parishioners this was covered under public participation |

10. Land Registry ~ It was agreed unanimously that we should formally register all of the Parish Land under the scheme currently available through the Land Registry. |

11. Weir at Mungrisdale ~update was given under Public Participation and the work discussed at previous meeting is being completed. |
|
12. Recycling – there is no further news from Working Party at the moment but the doorstep collections around parts of the village have started. |
|
13. Footbridge by the Village Hall ~ the bridge and the railings have been repaired although it needs additional work of Guide rails for approximately 4 foot at each side at this end. The blue pipe in the beck is the responsibility of The Mill Inn and it is hoped that it will be addressed when work starts on their planning application. |

14. Budget for 2007/2008 · Items for inclusion were discussed. The budget and the precept will need to be agreed at the next meeting |
