Minutes of the meeting of the Parish Council on Monday 3 July 2006 at 7-30pm |

Chairman welcomed councillors and Parishioners. Present were Lesley Smith; Alan Bird; Ernest Bird; Dorothy Chalk; Ernie Teasdale Les Wilson; and Robert Jackson |

1. Apologies received from Michael Bohling, Ronnie Wilson and County Councillor Bert Richardson |

2. Minutes ~ authorised the Chairman to sign the minutes of the meeting held on 6 March by unanimous agreement. The minutes of the Annual Parish Council meeting were also agreed by unanimous agreement |

3. Public Participation - The chairman adjourned the meeting to allow members of the public an opportunity to ask questions or raise matters of interest. The Boon Nights organised around the Parish were announced and are to be held on July 17th Mungrisdale meet at village hall: July 31st Mosedale ; August 7th Hutton Roof all starting at 6pm |

4. Declaration of Interest - Members are invited to declare any personal interests and any personal interests, which are prejudicial, relating to any item on the agenda non were declared |

5. Accounts 2006~2007 · Authorised payment of the following Bills due by unanimous agreement : § United Utilities Liscow £14.81 § United Utilities Garden Ground £15.86 § Environment Agency Water Extraction £135 · Income received from Car Parking and Wayleave payment · Requests for Financial support from the following organisations was agreed or declined by unanimous agreement § Vitalise was declined § the Air Ambulance for Pride of Cumbria money to be paid direct to GNAA § Church Council support for Churchyard agreed to support by £300 § Playing Field Association declined |

6. Annual Audit 2005/2006 was agreed by unanimous agreement |

9. Standing Orders circulated at the last meeting were adopted by the Council by unanimous agreement |

10. Light Pollution raised at Annual Parish Meeting has been investigated and the Environment and it was agreed unanimously that the council take no further action. |

11. Weir at Mungrisdale ~ the application to the environment agency has been completed and payment is to be made with the application. Letters are to be sent to the Land owners to ask them to pay their agreed amount totalling £100 |

13. Recycling · New Kerbside Recycling Service for areas of Mungrisdale is to be introduced · No further progress has been made on a recycling centre |

14. Parish Scheme Allowances for Parish Councillors will be considered at the September meeting fo the budget for 2007/2008 |

15. Land Registry and the registration of Parish Land was discussed and it was agreed to investigate how the land value would be assessed for the next meeting |

16. Digital UK ~ conference with information on implications of digital for people living in the Border TV area |

19. Millennium Seat has been treated by Ronnie Wilson and the council wanted to record their thanks to him for the work undertaken |

General Correspondence received since the last meeting for information · CALC Newsletters (enclosed for May and June) · Letter from UK Rigg · Community Waste Prevention Fund · Cockermouth Food and Craft Fair · Litter on the C2C route was discussed and the letter from the National Park to Sustrans and subsequent response were read
