1. There were no apologies for Absence |

2. Chairman was authorised to sign the minutes of the meetings held on 6 November 2006 by unanimous agreement |

3. Public Participation - The chairman adjourned the meeting to allow members of the public an opportunity to ask questions or raise matters of interest and the following points were discussed. · Hutton Roof Village Green to be covered under item 14 ~ further comment was made on the paper that has been submitted by some of the residents |

4. Declaration of Interest - Michael Bohling declared an interest in item 15 and Ronnie Wilson declared an interest in item 13 |

9. Audit Fee for year ended March 2006 was greater than previous years because the total spend had taken the accounts into the next charging band |

10. Request from West Cumbria Rape Crisis for Financial Support was declined |
|
11. Bannerdale Track ~ is in need of repair. Ten years since it was last repaired and council receives income from parking. Manholes need Roding and need approx 2 tonne of hard core to fill the holes. All of the original work has been completed on a voluntary basis. Will take 2 men approx 2 hours to repair and councillors have offered to do the work. Cost of hard core to be met by the Parish Council. |

12. Insurance for Parish Council is being reviewed to include the new computer and printer donated to the council. Also need to consider insurance for notice boards as one was damaged during the recent storms. Costs of adding various items are: Computer ~ £5.67; Notice boards~ £16; Seat ~£6.66 Total £28.33. These can be added now free of charge until the expiry of the policy in June 2007. Excess in the policy still being looked into and it was agreed unanimously that we should add the items subject to the Excess. |

13. Parish Land Letting for 2007-2008 ~ Michael Bohling and Alan Bird to work with the Clerk. |

14. Hutton Roof ~ Request for work on Hutton Roof Village Green has been received. Also received a letter of objection to the proposals. After some discussion there was a unanimous decision by the Council that until a proposal is received signed and supported by all residents the Council will not consider any changes. |

15. Letter from Mungrisdale and Mosedale Neighbourhood Watch regarding vehicles passing through the gate at Bannerdale by followers of the hunt. Introduction of the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act in2006 includes restrictions on access by vehicles on Footpaths and Bridleways. Council were also concerned about the possible impact on the road if vehicles did not pass through the gate. Letter to be sent to the secretary of the Hunt asking them to observe the notice on the gate whilst ensuring safety on the road. |

16. Recycling working party is still exploring options for location within the parish. |
