Mungrisdale Parish Council

Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held in the Meeting House Mosedale on 16^th March 2004.

Those Present - Chairman Mrs. L SmithV/C A Tiffin Councillors Miss D Chalk Messrs E Bird M Bohling R Jackson E Teasdale L Wilson R Wilson. County Councillor A P Richardson There were also nine parishioners present.

Apologies Mr. R H Fisher Eden District Council Mr. Colin Smith Parishioner.

PC Louise Tallontire could not attend the meeting to give a talk on community policing. The Clerk was instructed to write to PC Tallontire to express the concern felt by the meeting at the lack of information given to the Mungrisdale Community over this matter. CC A Richardson would also speak to the police to express the meeting’s annoyance at the lack of consideration shown by the police.

The minutes of the previous Annual Parish Meeting were read and signed as correct.

Matters arising.

A new water trough had been fitted to the Mungrisdale Garden Ground

Rents.  All rents £493.00 are banked

Tenders accepted for 2004-2005 Mungrisdale garden Ground from Messrs  IR & OM Wilson £340.00. For Lisco Garden Ground from Messrs Teasdale £100.00 plus fertiliser. A standing charge for water will be added to the accounts.

Northern Fells Group Report Mrs. LM Smith

The following topics were included in the report. The Community Bus Scheme, Youth Development Programme. Lend a hand (with the Red Cross) Benefit help A copy of the report is on file.

Neighbourhood forum. Four Meetings per year will be arranged to cover various aspects of local interest. The aim is to devolve government to the grass roots. The clerk to give notice on the Notice Board and place notice in the Together

Public Participation. There were eight topics put forward. County Councillor A P Richardson Specific time for cutting roadside verges, Neighbourhood development made award of £500.00 to the Hutton Roof Project Referendum on Local Government Cumbria would have very little influence on the outcome. Mrs. Sally Bohling- Kerbside collection of recycling material- Notice to inform parishioners that there was a recycling collection at Greystoke including plastics. Mr. Bob Watt Neighbourhood Watch. Mrs. Pauline Bambrough- Women’s Institute Challenge tidy up boom day. Affordable housing. Mrs. Margaret Teasdale offered to place a notice in the magazine re-recycling the Clerk to deal with the notice board. The clerk would write to Mr. Mike Sutton and the police re- Neighbourhood Watch Scheme. Other matters would be dealt with in due course.
