  1. Apologies were received from Andrew Holliday of Cumbria Police
  2. Minutes of the meeting held March 12th 2007 were agreed
  3. The guest speaker was Mr Mike Muir who is chairman of Cumbria Rural Housing Trust and Chief Executive of Impact Housing. Mr Muir gave an informative narrative of the current housing conditions and associated problems within Cumbria, highlighting both the ageing population of permanent residents and, therefore, communities and the increasing ownership of local properties by non-residents for use as second homes.
  4. Updates were provided by Parish Representatives for the work of the past year by:
    • The Parish council – written report provided
    • Mungrisdale Recreation Room – written report provided
    • Jonathon Scott Trust – written report provided
    • Mary Jack Trust - £200 was available for use in Berrier, Murrah or Whitbarrow. Not all of last year’s grant was spent.
    • Pinfold Community Garden Project – written report provided. The question was raised as to whether posts unused by the Parish Council could be donated to the project.
    • Northern Fells Group – written report provided
  5. Any other business
      • Mr Stevenson of Hutton Roof raised an issue about damage to a bridge in the area. The council agreed to contact Highways to report.
      • Councillor Jennifer Stevenson reported that residents of Hutton Roof wanted a wildlife sign but Highways had said no funding was available.
